What’s The Best Exercise To Lose Weight?

Best Exercise To Lose Weight

In my personal view, the best exercise to lose weight is to start. I’m not kidding, because I have been down that path. In my effort to find the best way to lose weight, I often would start an exercise regimen, and it would overwhelm me. I got tired very quickly, and it was painful the next day.

Why would I continue to do something that taxed my body so much? I have bought videos that were touted to be the most amazing thing since sliced bread, but as much as I really did want to lose weight, I just couldn’t seem to get the energy to do them on a regular basis, so out to the garage in a box they ended up.

What I needed to do was something so simple. Begin to move my body in a way that I liked. That was not too stressful, and I had none of the guilt of someone on the screen yelling at me to work harder. It was fulfilling to know I was doing this journey on my own terms. So I began to walk. First, just around the neighborhood, then to a walking park, then finally to the gym.

I felt like I didn’t want to walk into the gym with no ability to get on the treadmill or elliptical machine without having to get off, because I had no stamina. I was self-conscious about my weight, and yes, it did matter to me what others would think. Looking back, I see that that was silly and wouldn’t have made any difference on way or the other.

Now I have found the best exercise to lose weight. I begin by just putting on my gym clothes, not really thinking about it, just go into my room and throw them on. Then, off to the gym. I try to get there at a time when they are not too busy so that I have lots of machines to choose from, besides, I can’t stand a bunch of show-offs. There tend to be quite a few at certain times of the day.

They have very little on, and what is on is skin tight, and the fellows, well they dress to impress the ladies. I just want to be the weight I want to be at, nothing more. So, I hop on the elliptical, which for me is a better machine than the treadmill because there is no stress on my ankles or knees.

It is a little harder, but that makes me feel like I’m getting more out of my workout. I’ve got my MP3 player going, with my disco pumping, and the workout goes by very quickly as I listen to my favorite music. After 20 minutes at the least, I then stretch out again, I have done this before I work out first. I like to use the equipment that works the stomach area, that is where all my fat lies.

I will do those machines for another 20 minutes, then go for a long swim, with a nice Jacuzzi soak after I’m done. This has really make all the difference in the world for me in finding the best exercise to lose weight that I have been looking for all the while.
